Big Cypress Project:
Recently has been released in the Naples Daily News the project of a new town planned between Golden Gate Estates and Ave Maria University & Town.

This new town should be named Big Cypress and developed by Collier Enterprises
East of Desoto blvd in the Eastern part of Golden Gate Estates.
25,000 homes are scheduled on 8,000 acres and surrounded by 14,000 acres of preserve.
The project's ambition is to fit the rural character of East Collier County:
- 6 villages.
- 2 hamlets.
- 1 town center.
The villages and hamlets will be connected by 23 miles of walking trails.
Big Cypress is a long haul project and should start in 2010 and be completed in the next 30 years.

Big Cypress should bring commercial services closer to the East part of Golden Gate Estates and confirm the great interest and expected value for East Golden Gate Estates, already boosted by the development of Ave Maria University and Town scheduled to deliver the first properties in mid 2007.
